Catch a wave and dive into the Ocean Animals Around World project.
Welcome
Welcome to my Global Learning Project (GLP) on Ocean Animals Around the World. My name is Mirasol Whitmore and I’m a third teacher from Whittier Elementary School in Hemet, California.
My students are looking forward to collaborate with your classroom and share interesting thoughts and ideas about ocean animals. We will enjoy learning about each other and begin to appreciate the diversity of students around the world by working together.

Objectives
The goal of this project is for students to learn about ocean animals around the world. By comparing and contrasting, students learn about different sea animals, distinguish their habitat and describe details about the animals verbally and in writing.
Each class has the opportunity to also create an art project of the ocean animal they selected and display it in the Project Gallery. The final project will be to create an ebook or Glog by collecting the students work. |
Why Join
By participating in this project, it allows students the experience of cross-cultural benefits while collaborating with students from other countries. Students can begin to understand that children around the world have similar interest in learning the same topics sharing unique traits similar to their own.
As we collaborate, this project enhances students’ knowledge and helps them to appreciate people from multicultural backgrounds through researching ocean animals found all over the world. This experience helps to bridge the gap through technology and transfer global learning to the next level. |
